Daily Pepper Prices: Domestic Market Remains Stable While Indonesian Prices Edge Down

Domestic pepper prices today remained steady, hovering around 140,000 – 144,000 VND/kg. Meanwhile, on the global market, Indonesian pepper prices continued their downward trend.

Domestic Market

According to recent data, pepper prices this morning in key producing regions fluctuated between 140,000 and 144,000 VND/kg, unchanged from the previous day.

Specifically, Dak Lak and Dak Nong recorded the highest purchasing price at 144,000 VND/kg. This was followed by Ba Ria – Vung Tau at 142,500 VND/kg and Dong Nai at 142,000 VND/kg. Gia Lai reported the lowest price in the region at 140,000 VND/kg.

Global Market

At the close of the most recent trading session, data from the International Pepper Community (IPC) showed that Indonesian black pepper was traded at 6,947 USD/ton, down 0.33% (equivalent to a 19 USD/ton decrease) compared to the previous day.

Prices in other leading producer nations generally remained flat. Currently, Brazilian black pepper (ASTA 570) is quoted at 6,100 USD/ton, while Malaysian black pepper reached 9,300 USD/ton.

At the same time, Indonesian Muntok white pepper was traded at 9,153 USD/ton, a 0.33% (25 USD/ton) decline from the previous day. In Vietnam and Malaysia, white pepper prices stood at 9,000 USD/ton and 12,200 USD/ton respectively, with no new fluctuations recorded.
