Viet Linh Agrimex – Pepper price update for April 23: Slight decline in some localities
Pepper prices on April 23, 2026 declined slightly by VND 500–1,000 per kg in some localities, ranging between VND 140,000 and VND 142,000 per kg. On the global market, Indonesian pepper prices also reversed and edged down, while prices in other countries remained stable.

Domestic Market
According to surveys, domestic pepper prices this morning ranged from VND 140,000 to VND 142,000 per kg, down slightly by VND 500–1,000 per kg in some areas.
Specifically, in Gia Lai, prices fell by VND 1,000 per kg to VND 140,000 per kg.
In Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu (Ho Chi Minh City) and Đồng Nai, pepper prices decreased by VND 500 per kg, commonly trading at VND 140,500 per kg.
Meanwhile, in Đắk Lắk and Đắk Nông (Lâm Đồng), prices remained stable at VND 142,000 per kg—the highest level in the market.

Global Market
In the latest trading session, according to data from the International Pepper Community (IPC), Indonesian black pepper was traded at USD 7,047 per ton, down 0.21% compared to the previous day.
Prices in other major producing countries remained generally stable. Brazilian black pepper (ASTA 570) was listed at USD 6,000 per ton, while Malaysian black pepper stood at USD 9,300 per ton.
In Vietnam, export prices for black pepper remained stable at around USD 6,100–6,200 per ton for 500 g/l and 550 g/l grades.
